Will this headrest DVD player fit in my vehicle?
We get this question a ton, it's a great question. The answer is to measure the distance between the two posts on your existing headrests. Our headrest kits are designed with adjusting posts to fit almost all vehicles. We have grouped our headrests into 5 groups to help you better determine which units will fit. 7" Group A: adjust from 4.5" to 7.5" 7" Group T: adjust from 4.5" to 7.5" 9" Group B: adjust from 4.75" to 7.5" 9" Group C: adjust from 4.25" to 8.25"

Will
the color match my vehicle?
Another popular question. Our headrests come in three basic colors designed to go with most popular car interior colors. The three colors are: grey, black, and tan(same as beige). While it is next to impossible to get an exact match we have discovered that our headrest colors come very close and that customers are happy with their selection. If you
would like to receive a sample material in the mail to see how close the color
will match in advance to purchasing, please email us at wecare@onfair.com with your address and the
color sample you would like us to send to you.

Can
I play the same DVD on both headrests at the same time?
YES! As demonstrated in this video, during installation you will connect the audio/vidoe RCA cables from unit A to unit B and with the push of a button on your remote control you can then watch the same DVD on both units whenever you wish or you may still watch two different DVD's on each unit as well. Below is our headrest groups and how the A/V cables run: 7" Group A: All wires run down the two posts to connect and conceal 7" Group T: All wires run down the two posts to connect and conceal 9" Group B: All wires run down the two posts to connect and conceal 9" Group C: All wires run down the two posts to connect and conceal |

What is the difference between the headrest cover and non-cover kits?
Kits with and without headrest covers are both very popular with our customers. This video helps explain the difference and how the covers work.

What
material is the headrest made of?
All
of our headrest monitors are made from a synthetic leather material that is
designed to go very well with leather or cloth seat interiors. They have a real leather look and feel to them.
To get actual leather headrests you will need to pay a significantly
higher price and if you find a website suggesting their headrests are made from
real leather and the price does not reflect it, use extreme caution.
Can
I play a different DVD on each headrest at the same time?
Absolutely! This feature is available for all headrest DVD
monitor models we sell. The headrests
are designed to send out 2 different (A/B) IR audio signals and you can select
the signal from the remote control. If
you have A/B (double channel) headphones, you are able to listen to the signal
from the left headrest on one channel while listening to the signal from the
right headrest on the other signal.
Be
careful, some sellers only sell the single channel headphones and it is possible
you will hear noise from the left to the right headrest units over the single
channel headphones. For most of our headrest
monitor kits, we have upgraded the kit to include A/B headphones as a bonus,
or you may upgrade to this feature during checkout.
Don't be fooled by other sellers hiding this valuable feature.
Can
I connect a video game system to them?
Yes
you can. Every one of our headrest kits
come with RCA input cables if you wish to connect another audio/video unit to
them. Keep in mind that if you decide
to use the input cable for a game system, you will either need to buy additional
RCA splitter cables in order to also connect the headrest together at the same
time.
What
is the difference between single channel and double channel headphones?
The
IR (Infra-red) headphones use what is called a "line of sight signal" meaning
that you will need to be behind or at a slight angle from the headrest in order
to hear the signal the headrest is sending. Our
headrest kits are designed to send your choice of either signal A or signal
B that you can choose on the remote control.
If
you have single channel IR headphones, you will only be able to hear the IR
signal A. If you have dual channel headphones
you are able to select on the headphone if you would like to receive signal
A or signal B with the flip of a switch.
Dual
channel headphones are a great bonus and so we offer the dual channel headphones
as an upgrade option or bonus with every kit we sell. We are always doing our
homework, and have discovered that most of our competition only sells single
channel headphones with their kits. Don't
be fooled.
Can
I hear the sound over my vehicle stereo system?
Yes. All of our headrest kits come with the FM transmitter
feature built-in. This means that if you
would like to hear the audio from one of the headrests over your car speakers,
you may do so without needing to connect any additional wires. Our kits come
with the FM transmit wire (the green wire) or with the FM transmit wire built
into the headrests.
You
may select the FM frequency on the headrest and then tune your vehicle's audio
system to the same frequency and you are done.
Because radio stations send their signal over various frequencies, you
may need to try a couple frequencies to find one the local radio stations are
not using.
Where
do all the wires run?
This
is one of the neat features. The wires
run through the two posts, inside the car seat and out the bottom of the seat.
The nice part about this is you can then run the wires under the seat,
under the carpet or under the floor mats to keep them out of sight.
How
do they get power?
All units have the ability to power them with
a direct connection to the fuse box. With
two wires (black and red) it will be important to connect to a fuse designed
for car accessories and a fuse with appropriate power.
You will want to avoid circuits that may contain additional noise such as windshield
wipers as well as choosing if you wish for the headrests to be turned on/off
with the key switch or be able to power on without the need of the keys in the
ignition switch.
We include the cigarette lighter power option for the following kits:
7" Group A: Cigarette lighter plugs included
7" Group T: Cigarette lighter plugs included
9" Group B: Cigarette lighter plugs NOT included
9" Group C: Cigarette lighter plugs NOT included - but compatible power cables with plugs can be purchased here
9" Group D: Cigarette lighter plugs included
Do
I need a professional to install them?
That
depends. We always recommend you seek
professional installation for our headrest kits, however if this is something
you have experience doing it is possible our headrests will not be very difficult for you.
We have heard from happy customers that it was easy to install and only
took 20 minutes and then we have heard from customers who consider this task
to be foreign to them.
What
games are good for the kids?
There
are two type of games that we include with our
headrest kits. One type is the 8 bit video games.
Many of these games are like the 80's style video games such as Pac-Man,
Dig Dug, Joust, Super Mario Brothers, Tetris, etc.
The other type of games is the 32 bit games. These have higher graphic quality and energy level required to play them. For some of the 32 bit games, it is possible to go online and download additional games over the internet that may be played on the headrests.
OnFair kits that include our all-in-one controllers (Group A, Group T and Group D) the 8 bit and 32 bit games are combined onto one disc and function with the wireless all-in-one controller. We have found other retailers selling similar looking units but they are still offering the lower quality wired controllers and game discs. Something to watch out for.
The
simple answer is we view the 8 bit games to be the best choice for parents and
kids under 10 years of age. We see the 32 bit games to be better at keeping
the teenagers busy for a long time.
Do
you have cloth headrests?
No, sorry we do not. Aftermarket manufacturers do not make the cloth headrests with built-in DVD players. However, we have heard from many of our customers who have cloth seats and we receive awesome feedback that the headrests look great. We also have pictures from our happy customers showing us. So, don't let the fact that you have cloth seats slow you down. You will find our headrest go well with leather or cloth seats.

How do I get the wireless headphones to work for my headrest dvd player?
For our group A , group T and group D headrest kits. After you have the headrest units installed and powered-up you will first discover the units to play the audio out the built-in speakers and no audio signal on the IR wireless headphones. To turn the IR signal on for the wireless headphones you need to select the IR-TX button on the remote control (or front of the unit for 7"). This will turn the IR signal on and the built-in speaker audio off. You can then select to be on channel A or channel B on both the headrest and the headphones.
The IR headphone signal is "line of sight" meaning you will need to be located behind the headrest monitor unit to receive and hear a clear audio signal. It is a good idea to have the left and right units on different channels to avoid overlap in the audio signal. It is also a good idea to remind the kids to turn the headphones off when not in use to preserve the batteries.
