The first step is to determine which headrest packages are compatible with your vehicle. To determine fit you will need a tape measure and access to your vehicle.

1) Are your car headrest pillows removable?

For most vehicles the headrest pillow is removable. These headrest pillows are attached to the seat with two metal posts. If your car seats are one entire piece where the pillow does not remove, I'm sorry to say car headrest monitors will not be compatible with your vehicle. You may wish to consider one of our flip down DVD monitors for your vehicle.

2) What are the post measurements?

Okay, it's time to get the tape measure and measure your posts. You are measuring two things, the distance between the two posts center to center and the diameter of the posts. We have a video to help explain how to measure your posts.

Most headrest packages include posts that adjust to fit a range of distances usually between 4.5" and 8" center to center. If your posts are between this range, you'll be able to select from a variety of packages on future steps. If your post distance is outside this range, your selection will be limited to models that mount to the outside of the posts of your existing headrest pillow. Don't worry, some of our most advanced models fall into this category.

The second measurement on your headrest post is the diameter of the post. There are 3 diameter sizes that come with most headrest packages 10mm, 12mm and 14mm diamters. Please note, some packages (Eonon brand) do not inlcude the 14mm posts while the OnFair and Autotain branded packages do include the 14mm posts without additional charge. So if you discover you need the 14mm posts, be sure to select an OnFair or Autotain model or add the 14mm posts to your order if you select an Eonon model. We know, you don't have a metric tape measure. So here's a cheat sheet on converting inches to mm.

10mm = 0.39 inch (slightly over 5/16")
12mm = 0.47 inch (slightly over 7/16")
14mm = 0.55 inch (slightly under 9/16")

Remember....if your posts are greater than 7/16" you may need the 14mm posts with your headrest package. No worries, OnFair and Autotain branded headrests automatically include these posts in the package.
